Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best known for her roles on TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003 she has demonstrated her ability to act in a variety of roles by making outstanding appearances on TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her performance as Anna in the 2005 film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance in the role of women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for a third season, thanks to 20th Century Fox Television. Hind recently Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters to be scheduled to release mid-2019. After releasing Provoked the - a True Story in English, she went back to Bollywood and appeared in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007).
