Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then attended at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of every event.
