Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has been featured in numerous television shows. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and were granted refugee status to remain. She is the middle sister of two sisters. She was raised within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career in the field of TV with a few National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in the Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For her performance, she received a nomination during the Festival of Cannes for Best Actress. She has appeared in television programs like How I Met Your Mother as well as Entourage, Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych, and Castle. She has also appeared in the independent comedy You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009 and the science-fiction action film Blood Shot. Ghanizada made her debut in 2008 when she was cast member of General Hospital's premiertime spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift saw Ghanizada portray Doctor. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medicine. In 2009 Ghanizada was Kelly who was a Prada salesperson in HBO's Entourage and was a part of the cast of the television series pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, as well as executive producer T Bone Burnett.
