Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She anchors SportsNation as well as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first job in the production department with Univision in Miami which allowed her to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. She moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. On a trip, Antonietta stayed at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten an offer to work. Antonietta was just graduating from high school but already knew the things she wanted to accomplish. She discovered that she was a fan of the campus, and the university had the program she desired. After finishing her high school education, she chose to go to the university and major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself encouraged her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not fail him.
