
Gale at the time, at the age of 18 won at the age of 18 a Perth modeling contest. Following several modeling seasons, Gale gained fame in 1999 when Omnitel Italy (now Vodafone Italy) cast her to star in advertisements. Gale continued to be included in ads for the company until 2006. In 2003, the Australian Tourist Commission retained her as their "face for Australia for Italy.' Gale was featured on covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. The actress has also been featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was mentioned in the editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia as well as Italian GQ. Gale has worked for Italian designers, including Gianfranco Fere Genny And Gai Mattiolo and has been during the show runways for Mariella Burani, Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also a lover of numerous Australian designers like Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. Since 2006 she served as the fashion commentator for the Australian TV awards known as the Logies. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modelling after 15 years. She took to the catwalk one last time a few weeks later, at the David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. For her last look, she wore Wonder Woman's outfit in The Justice League of America movie which was never made. Gale was the last to leave Alex Perry 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival in March 2011. August of 2011 was Gale's 10th anniversary with department retailer David Jones, the longest tenured fashion contract in Australia. Gale was joined by Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale played a role in an L'Oreal Shampoo commercial that aired in Australia, New Zealand, and Italy.
