South Korean model-turned-actor Hoyeon received international recognition and critical acclaim following the worldwide successful Netflix original series Squid Game, in which she performed the role of Kan Sae-byeok, also known by the name of Player 067. In recognition of her performance that made headlines on the show Hoyeon took home the Screen Actors Guild award for Best Performance by a Female actress in a Drama Series and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. Her hometown is Myeonmok-dong, a suburb of Seoul Hoyeon began her career as a model for hire in 2011 , walking the runway at Seoul Fashion Week. Hoyeon finished as a finalist on the Korean version of Next Top Model season 4. She earned her international debut as she was awarded an exclusive contract worldwide with Louis Vuitton. Since then, she's appeared in numerous advertisements and has have walked on the runway for designers like Chanel, Fendi, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, and Moschino to name just a several. She has also appeared in many fashion magazines like international issues that include Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, W, V, and countless others.
