Allison Stokke
Allison Stokke's journey in the world of pole vaulting came to an early end, though she had some significant victories, particularly towards the start of her professional career. The pole-vaulting feats she achieved were in the news due to numerous blogs which criticized her for not being worthy of accolades and diminished her to a mere sex-symbol. Aside from pole-vaulting, she is also a fitness model and was a popular American track and field athlete at the beginning of 2000. As a high school student, she broke a number of American records. Allison Stokke began her sports track career with gymnastics. She was born March 22, 1989. She followed in the footsteps of her older brother, David Stokke, who has performed gymnastics at the national levels. At the age of 4, when she was at Newport Harbor High School, she set the pole vaulting junior high school American record by leaping 3.86 meters. In the following year she broke the record of 4.11 meters. Allison Stokke, born on the 22nd March, 1989, began her journey in the sport of gymnastics. By following in her brother's tradition, David Stokke has also performed at the national levels. In 2004 she was a student from Newport Harbor High School when she shattered the American high school pole vaulting record by an impressive leap of 3.86 meters. Her own record was broken in the next year, with a 4.11 meter vault.
