Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born in Dublin 1966, was the daughter of a wealthy family. Doody is the youngest of three. While in a convent, she discovered an interest in arts. Then, she attended The National College of Fine Arts in Dublin however, she left because she had a lack of motivation. It was her idea to have a rest for a few days to get the hang of things. As she was sitting with friends at a cafe when a photographer came in and inquired if she would like to model. She said yes, believing that she could make use of the cash for pockets money. It was soon clear modeling profitable and enjoyable. Modeling contract work led to commercials, and she traveled the world. An agent noticed the work she was modeling and encouraged her to attempt acting. When she was 19, she was referred to London and was able to win an audition for A View to a Kill ( 1985) which was a brand new James Bond movie. It was her dream to act so she chose to make a profession of an actor. She filmed TV dramas in London as well as Dublin following her debut feature. Her biggest breakthrough came when she was a part as the lead in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the role of Aryan seductress and the Dr. Elsa Schneider. Alison Alison Alison
