Britney Jean Spears
Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of
December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana.
Britney was an avid dancer in her youth and won many competitions in
gymnastics. Britney loves to sing and dance, but more importantly, she enjoyed
dance classes. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989)
at the age of eight. She was denied because of her age. Then, she was directed
to "Ruthless" the off-Broadway production, in which she performed in
the role of the title persona for two years. At the age of 11, she was back on
stage for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she
was a mouseketeer along with many others of the stars of today, Justin
Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her breakthrough however,
was after she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the late 1990s. Britney's
debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million
copies (as at July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It
Again" released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears &
Jamie Spears She has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little
sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to be a
star with her idols like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young
Britney could always be heard singing no matter the other events going on
around her. After years of intensive vocal and dance classes, and performing in
numerous show and fairs Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse
Club (1989) television series (1989-1994) at the age of aged eight, but was too
young to play the role. Britney and her infant sister, Britney, moved to New
York, where she performed in a number of TV commercials as well as an off
Broadway play called "Ruthless" with the guidance of Natalie Portman.
The passion for dance and music grew and two years later, she auditioned again
for part in "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, won the part with
Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
