Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy band
that specializes in the field of pop. The band was created in 2009. The group
is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow and also Logan Henderson and
Carlos PenaVega. They signed their first contract with Nick Records in 2009.
Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. The group was a
part of the Nickelodeon television show of the similar name, Big Time Rush. The
show ran from November 28th, 2009 to July 25 in 2013. The premiere episode
introduced the group's very first promotional single, "Big Time
Rush". Three studio albums were released by the group: BTR in 2010 and
Elevate (2011) and 24/Seven (2013). The group took an indefinite hiatus in the
year 2014 that was extended until 2021. the band resumed live performances and
released the single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed
Big Time Rush to a recording deal in 2009, concurrently with the TV show Big
Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to create
the show and add original music that was used in the show. The first single of
the series, "Big Time Rush", released on November 29 the 29th of
November, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the
series was first broadcast for the time in the American market. The single was
then released internationally. The song was played in an introduction to the
series for one hour , and is the show's first tune. Promo singles like
"City is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and more were made
available during the course of the series. Big Time Rush also recorded the Play
song "Famous" and was written by him. It was released to iTunes on
June 29, 2010. After the series' premiere another track, "Halfway
There", went live on iTunes on April 27, 2010. The track quickly became
the first track to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 93 thanks to
sales on digital. On September 21, 2010, Big Time Rush released second single
"Till I Forget About You" in promotion of the release of their debut
album. On the 11th of October, 2010 the album, dubbed BTR it was released to
the public. The album debuted at the top of the charts, number 3 on the
Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies in the first week of its release.
